How to share Apple Health data with your doctor
Last updated 29 October 2026
A doctor who asks “how has your blood pressure been?” wants a few weeks of readings they can scan, not a phone handed across the desk or a file with years of everything.
Make a report
- Open Vitalsnip and tap Data. Pick what your doctor asked about, for example Blood Pressure (Systolic and Diastolic), Blood Glucose or Sleep.
- Choose the dates, such as the last 30 days, or a custom range since your last appointment.
- Choose Daily for an overview, or Every Reading if they want each measurement with its time.
- Tap Show Data to check it.
- Tap the PDF button at the top to make a printable report, then share it to Mail, Messages or Files, or print it with AirPrint.
You can also share a CSV if the practice wants to load the numbers into their own system.
Add context with the journal
Numbers are easier to read with notes such as “started a new medication on the 12th”. In Vitalsnip’s Journal tab (Premium) you can add a note to each week. Sharing a week puts the note next to that week’s summary, so the doctor sees both together.
Before the appointment
- Check the dates cover the whole period your doctor asked about.
- If a type is empty, make sure Vitalsnip has access to it in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > Vitalsnip.
- Readings from a cuff or meter only appear if its app saves them to Apple Health.
Vitalsnip formats your own data. It doesn’t interpret it or give medical advice.
