Common questions
What does the free version include?
One vehicle with its full service log, up to three reminders, and a spreadsheet (CSV) export of its history. Your entries stay readable and exportable even if a subscription ends. Motorjot Premium adds unlimited vehicles and reminders, the service history PDF and importing a Fuelly CSV. It’s a one-time Lifetime purchase, or an annual or weekly subscription.
How do mileage reminders work?
Motorjot never tracks your location, so it only knows your mileage from the readings you log with a service. A mileage reminder shows Due Soon within 500 miles or kilometres of its due point and Overdue once a logged reading passes it. Date reminders also send a notification a week before and on the day.
Motorjot says my odometer reading doesn’t fit
Each reading has to be at least the highest reading logged before that date and no more than the lowest reading logged after it. Check the date and the number, or fix the other entry.
Can Motorjot read my garage receipt?
Yes. On Log Service, tap Add Receipt and scan it or choose a photo. Motorjot reads the text on your iPhone, fills in the date, total and mileage it finds, and tells you which. Check them before you save. The receipt is kept in the vehicle’s Documents.
Where do I keep my insurance or V5C?
Open the vehicle and tap Add Document in the Documents section. Scan it with the camera, or choose a photo or a PDF from Files. Give it a type and, if it runs out, an expiry date. Tap a document to view it, or swipe left to delete it.
How do I mark a reminder as done?
On the vehicle’s page, swipe the reminder to the right and tap Done. A repeating reminder moves on by its interval from today and your latest reading. A one-off reminder is removed.
Can I bring my Fuelly history?
Yes, with Premium. In Fuelly, export your fuel-ups as a CSV file and save it to Files. In Motorjot, open the vehicle, tap Import from Fuelly (CSV) and pick the file. Motorjot shows how many fill-ups it found, skips ones you’ve already logged, and lists any rows it couldn’t read. Other apps’ CSV files work too if they have Date, Odometer and Litres or Gallons columns.
I bought Premium. How do I get it on another device or after reinstalling?
Open Settings in Motorjot and tap Restore Purchase, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.
How do I cancel a subscription or ask for a refund?
Apple manages both. Cancel in your iPhone’s Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Ask for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t see or change App Store payments.
